How to play Russian Solitaire

Make Russian Solitaire your next activity in the game library. Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Look at what changes after your first action. Read the objective before making your first input. Look at what changes after your first action.

Yukon-style deal, same-suit building, no stock. Free solo play, no wagering.

A careful first round

Before your first action, say what you are trying to achieve. Then compare the result with the goal. Notice the feedback after each input.

Your goal

Build four suit foundations from ace to king. Keep that objective in view throughout the round. Follow this game’s rules rather than another version’s.

Step by step

  1. Move any face-up card and its tail onto the next higher rank of the same suit. Kings fill empty columns.
  2. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
  3. Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
  4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.

Controls

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Keep the playing area visible while using these controls. Check any mode label before starting.

A useful example

A heart 6 fits a heart 7, not a spade 7. Focus on why the action is allowed, not only its outcome. Consider the next action carefully.

Watch out for this

Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. A different version of the game may use a different rule. Keep the stated aim separate from side details such as animation or appearance. Progress is measured by the game’s own completion or scoring rules.
