How to play Letter Link

Try Letter Link at your own pace and keep its objective in view. Find every target word from the six-letter bank. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions. Identify the playing area and the controls you need. Look at what changes after your first action.

Make words from two letter sets: PLANET and STREAM. Each set uses a selected list of accepted answers.

A careful first round

Before your first action, say what you are trying to achieve. Then compare the result with the goal. Use the example to check your reasoning.

Your goal

Find every target word from the six-letter bank. Use the instructions to see which actions move you towards it. Take a moment to understand the current position.

Step by step

  1. Select letters in order, each tile once per word.
  2. Submit the word.
  3. Clear letters to retry.
  4. Find all displayed word lengths.

Controls

Tap letters and Submit word. Read a button’s label before selecting it. Make sure you are interacting with the game rather than the surrounding page.

A useful example

PLANET makes PLANT, PLANE and PETAL. Apply the same reasoning to the position in your own round. Keep the game’s format in mind.

Watch out for this

Not every dictionary word is a target in this curated list. A different version of the game may use a different rule. Take enough time to read a new position. If a game has a timer, learn its controls first rather than searching for them during the round.
