How to play Mini Golf
Take a moment with Mini Golf before moving to another game. Sink all three holes within twelve strokes per hole. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions. Identify the playing area and the controls you need. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move.
Three original obstacle courses; wall bounces and friction.
Make the controls familiar
Locate the buttons and input area before beginning a long round. Use the on-screen labels to avoid an accidental restart. Keep the objective visible.
Your goal
Sink all three holes within twelve strokes per hole. Read that aim before choosing your first action. Follow this game’s rules rather than another version’s.
Step by step
- Aim a stopped ball.
- Set power and putt.
- Wait until it stops before another shot.
- Use Next hole after sinking.
Controls
Touch aim, angle/power sliders and Putt. Use the control method described here for this activity. Use one clear input at a time.
A useful example
A soft final putt can sink where a fast crossing would not. Your next round may have a different position, so inspect it before acting. Take a moment to compare.
Watch out for this
The hole accepts only a sufficiently slow ball. Compare the situation with the worked example. When a decision goes wrong, compare it with the common mistake described below. Start again only when you intend to leave the current round.
